Avocado Thread; Meat Allergy;  Instacart to the Rescue; Fun Eats Comin’ Our Way

Another ‘Day,’ Another App— Chipotle is one of Time Magazine’s most influential companies of 2023,  (Taco Bell and Kim Kardashian are also on this list). For their part, Chipotle has been recognized for commendable work in the areas of organic produce and renewable energy, but, this isn’t about that. This is about Chipotle celebrating National Avocado Day on Threads. What’s Threads? …A new place to advertise. Damn Ticks— There are already great reasons to be wary of ticks. The burrowing little buggers can end up wreaking havoc on the human body. To a list that already contains Lyme Disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, (among others), we can now add alpha-gal syndrome, or AGS. An allergic reaction to red meat caused by some tick bites. Insta-urant— Sometimes restaurants run out of food for service and they have to send someone running to the nearest grocery to restock. Instacart took notice of this—a data dive revealed to them that many of their customers were, in fact, businesses. So—they launched a new division. Guess what it does? Finally— It’s August, and there are fun new foods on the horizon.
