Come & Get It— Olive Garden doesn’t deliver. If they did, how would you ever enjoy the unlimited breadsticks? Wait… those are gone now. So, what’s stopping them? According to parent company, Darden, the economics simply don’t make sense; and this might seem strange given the trajectory of restaurant delivery orders in the last couple of years, but, time will tell. (You can’t order from Longhorn Steakhouse either btw—but you can pick up to-go orders from both). Where the Fish Are— Economic growth in China has triggered an increase in their middle-class population. Apparently it has also triggered the expansion of the nation’s fishing fleet, and an increase in their activity in waters not-so-close to home. And yes, some say that’s a bit fishy. From Ugly Duckling to Swan— Food-tech startup, ANINA Culinary Ltd., has created a meal pod using upcycled vegetables, which would otherwise become waste due their appearance. The pods are a high protein, high fiber, full-meal alternative containing 40% of daily recommended vegetables.  Finally— Craving domestic travel? Not craving meat? You’re welcome.
